Use these 2020 monthly calendar pages to quickly see each month at a glance for planning future activities.
While I love my Google Calendar that syncs from my phone to my computer, I also like having printable calendars for easier planning.
I have been creating monthly printable calendars for a few years now. This year I didn’t have it on my radar to create the 2020 calendar pages until a reader who has been using them asked for them. And I am so thankful that reader reached out to me!
These calendars are particularly helpful for me for documenting school schedules and planning family activities. I also use these pages to write down family movies we watch so I can look back over the year and remember the movies we saw. New this year: I am printing these out to display family chores.
How I designed these calendars
One thing I don’t like about typical monthly calendars is when the 30th and 31st of the month share a box with the previous week. I want to have the whole daily block available for each date.
For 2020, the months of May and August need 6 rows to show the entire month, with each day getting its own box. So I gave those months 6 rows instead of the typical 5 rows. This means the boxes are slightly smaller for those months, but each day gets its own square.
I mainly use these monthly calendars to record school schedules, kids’ activities, and events we have committed to. I hole-punch the pages and keep them in a 3-prong folder next to my computer. This is useful when my husband and I want to talk about vacation plans or taking a 3-day weekend. I can pull out these planner pages and see what we have already committed to at a glance.
To effectively use the extra spaces at the beginning and end of each month, I added notes areas. I use the notes areas to jot down things I want to remember that month but that haven’t been planned for a specific date yet. For example, if there is a museum exhibit my family wants to see, I may use the notes section to write the dates the exhibit will be available.
