I like Grove Collaborative a lot for their convenience, healthier products, and commitment to the environment. But there are several items I don’t buy from Grove Collaborative.
No matter how much I enjoy the convenience of shopping online through Grove Collaborative and getting healthier product delivered right to my home, there are just some products I can’t bring myself to purchase from Grove.
5 Products I Don’t Buy from Grove
There are several products that I do order regularly from Grove Collaborative and lots of products I want to try, but here are 5 products I don’t buy from Grove.
Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent
I like and use Seventh Generation laundry detergent, but I don’t buy it from Grove. I buy it from Walmart since I already shop there 1-2 times per month, and it is so much cheaper there.
I recently bought Seventh Generation laundry detergent from Walmart for $11.73 for a 100 oz bottle. It is currently at Grove for $9.79 for a 50 oz bottle ($.12 per ounce vs $.20 per ounce). For me, it just makes more sense to buy the detergent at Walmart since I have a store near me.
Natural Sunscreen
I already found a natural sunscreen that I like that works well and goes on smoothly, so a little goes a long way. Since I already have a natural sunscreen that I like, I don’t buy sunscreen from Grove.
I like Releve Sun-Lite organic sunscreen, which can be purchased online at EmeraldEssentials.com. They currently have a pop-up on their site where you can sign up for their email list and get a coupon code for 15% off your next order.
Paper Products
I get most of the paper products I need during my weekly Aldi shopping trips. Things like paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, and napkins are much cheaper and Aldi and I go there almost every week anyway. Plus, I’m sure my mail man doesn’t want to have to find room in his truck for all of those bulky items to deliver.
Fabric Softener & Dryer Balls
This is something I don’t by from Grove simply because I don’t buy them at all. I don’t use fabric softener when I wash and dry my family’s clothes. I just add a couple balls of aluminum foil in the dryer to eliminate static cling.
Dishwasher Tabs
I have tried a couple of the dishwasher tabs from Grove, but I wasn’t as impressed with them as I am with the Seventh Generation liquid dishwasher gel from Grove. I order this almost every month.
That being said, I do enjoy Grove Collaborative for other products and for their commitment to helping the environment.
