I have never been one to order products online that I can easily purchase at the grocery store. After all, I have to go grocery shopping every week anyway. But I am starting to change my mind about Grove Collaborative. Continue reading for my complete Grove Collaborative review from my personal experience.
Grove offers healthier products that can be delivered right to your door at prices lower than full retail prices. Below are a few things I enjoy about Grove.
1. Safer products for my family
If you like to review your household products on the Environmental Working Group website (and if you don’t I would encourage you to give it a try) you will see how various products rate on an A to F scale based on the ingredients used.
When you refer to the EWG’s Guide to Healthy Cleaning and the EWG Skin Deep Cosmetics Database, you will see many Grove brands showing up as grade A. (Not all products from these brands have a Grade A rating)
Brands Grove carries include:
- Dr. Bronner’s
- Method
- Mrs. Meyer’s
- Seventh Generation
2. Great customer service
One time I had an item that was supposed to show up in my cart as a free item, but it wasn’t showing up. I simply emailed customer service and the problem was solved within 24 hours and I got a very friendly response.
I get an email from Grove when I have an upcoming shipment so I have time to make changes or delete the shipment completely. I can also go into my Grove dashboard any time and see what is scheduled for the next few months and make changes ahead of time. Grove makes recommendations for future orders based on my past orders.
3. It’s a subscription service without the hassles
When you order from Grove, you are joining a subscription service. But, everything is entirely online. I personally hate when I have to call a customer service agent to cancel a subscription I don’t want. I don’t want to have a sales rep try to convince me to keep something I have already decided I don’t want.
I am not even on a monthly plan with Grove. Since I didn’t plan to order much when I initially signed up,Grove scheduled my shipments for every 2 months instead of monthly (based on what I filled out in my profile). But if I am getting low on something and don’t want to wait 2 months I can still build in a monthly shipment during an off month.
I actually went an entire year between my first and second orders from Grove! But now I order almost every month.
4. I get to try new products
I never would have thought to try the Grove Collaborative Mint & Chia lip balm, but I got it as a VIP bonus item with an order and now I love it! I probably wouldn’t have tried it otherwise, but now I will reorder.
5. I can order products I can’t find in my grocery store
I recently tried to find liquid castile soap in my grocery store to use in some natural cleaning recipes I wanted to try, but I had no luck. It’s possible I just didn’t know where to look, but I was excited to find I can order it from Grove.
6. Grove supports the environment
In addition to knowing you are getting healthier products for your family, Grove supports saving rain forests with each customer order. Want to learn more about how Grove began?
7. You get rewarded for referring your friends
You can actually refer your own friends to Grove and earn credits toward your own purchases. For every new customer you refer to Grove using your own referral link, you will get $10 off of your next purchase, AND your friends will get $10 off of their first purchases.

One thing I DON’T love about Grove
The shipping is not fast. Make sure you plan in advance so you are not left waiting for something. If you are used to getting shipments from Amazon in 2 days, you might be disappointed when it takes about a week to get your Grove order.
