This whole wheat pizza crust recipe rises beautifully without yeast and makes a delicious, healthy base to your homemade pizzas.
Having pizza for dinner has become a Friday night tradition in our house. When the weather is cool, we do family movie nights along with pizza in the living room. It’s always a fun treat when we eat in the living room!
When I first learned to make homemade pizzas, I used Jiffy-style packaged crust mixes. Not anymore! Using whole wheat flour and Greek yogurt makes this pizza crust a healthy alternative to store bought baking mixes and frozen pizzas.
This recipe makes a soft, but firm, pizza crust.

Making the pizza
Add sauce. I like to spread tomato paste on the crust as a base, usually less than a full can.
Add seasonings. I often use use oregano and onion powder.
Add meat. I typically use 1 or 2 meats that could include ham, bacon, or 1/2 lb cooked sausage.
Add veggies and extras. I sometimes add mushrooms to the whole pizza and jalapenos to half of the pizza. When I add jalapenos, I use toothpicks to mark the dividing line between the two halves.
Top with cheese. I freshly shred an 8oz block of mozzarella cheese to top the pizza. Yum!
