Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

This whole wheat pizza crust rises beautifully without yeast and makes a delicious, healthy base to your homemade pizzas.

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour + more for kneading
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 1/2 cups plain or Greek yogurt*
  • 1/2 tbsp butter for greasing pan

  • Preheat oven to 425°.
  • In a medium bowl, mix 2 cups whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, and seasonings.
  • Add in yogurt and stir until all flour has been mixed in.
  • Form dough into a ball and knead dough in mixing bowl. At this point you may need to add additional flour if dough is too wet.
  • Grease large pizza pan (and your fingers) with butter. I used a 16-inch pizza pan.
  • Spread the pizza dough onto a greased pan with your fingers.
  • Prebake the crust at 425° for 3 minutes to set the crust.
  • Add desired sauce, seasonings, toppings, and cheese and bake at 425° for 15-18 minutes or until cheese starts to turn brown.

*Note: If using plain yogurt, you will likely need to add more flour.
